Hosted by Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University of Newfoundland, this 3-day virtual symposium will allow scientists, researchers, government representatives, industry stakeholders, NGOs, Indigenous and coastal communities to exchange and share their experiences and ideas on all aspects of The Ocean Decade.
Innovate Canada 2022

Destination Canada’s Innovate Canada 2022 will spotlight Canada’s Ocean Sciences and is designed to attract international business events and investment. This curated event will attract international delegates to learn about this key economic sector and showcase Canada’s oceans excellence to support the growth of this innovative sector of the economy. It provides an opportunity to showcase Canada’s dynamic meeting and innovation hubs with a focus on economic and investment development.

To enable and accelerate Canadian innovation, research and technology development, market and export leadership in the marine and ocean tech sector, it is critical to attract, develop and retain a robust, diverse and inclusive talent pipeline that includes women from every walk of life. This conference, part of the Canadian Women in Ocean Industries Leadership initiative, will increase Canada’s leadership, competitiveness and contribution to ocean industries.

The World Aquaculture Society (WAS), Aquaculture Association of Canada (AAC), and Newfoundland Aquaculture Industry Association (NAIA) are co-hosting this world-class, international event that will feature hundreds of speakers and delegates from around the globe on the science, technology, business and social aspects of aquaculture. With 100 booths, Aquaculture Canada and WAS North America 2022 will have the largest aquaculture trade show in Canada.
